Introduction

PISA is a powerful PDM system for the fashion industry, fully integrated with, and embedded in, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This document describes the initial setup required before start working with PISA. 

Scenarios

The functionality covers the following processes:

• Sign in into PISA for the first time.
• Getting started with the PISA Image Connector.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this functionality.

Sign in

To sign in into PISA, open up a web browser and goto https://businesscentral.dynamics.com. This will automatically detect the correct company tenant and sign the user into the correct environment. When signed in, go through the steps below to setup the regional settings:

1. Selecting the correct company. There are usually 2 companies setup from start: "PISA Test" and "PISA Production".
2. Click on the settings-wheel at the top right corner.
3. Select "My Settings".
4. A setup-page will show like below.
5. Set the corresponding region and select "English" as language.

When this setup is done, its is recommended to save the URL to the Home Screen as bookmark in the web browser.

PISA Image Connector is a checkin/checkout file transfer connector to PISA that serves as the bridge between PISA and Adobe Illustrator. Because of the offline capabilities, it promotes a Mobile First/Cloud First way-of-working. 

To install the image connector follow the steps below:

1. To install the connector, just double-tap the .msi installation file, and the connector will install itself with a few clicks.
2. Open the connector by clicking the "Start" button in Windows and search for "PISA".
3. When the connector shows on the screen, click "File" => "Settings" => "Paths". 
4. A page like below shows on the screen.
5. Enter the following path on both the parameters: "C: emp".
6. Also, make sure that "C: emp" exists on the computer.
7. Click "Save".

To finish the configuration of the PISA Image Connector, follow the steps below:

1. In PISA, search for "PISA Setup".
2. The general setup page for PISA is now displayed.
3. Click "Actions" => "Configure Connector".
4. Done!

Clear checked-out files

Sometimes there is a need to clear the PISA checked-out items, which prevents multiple users from checking out the same file. This is done in the view "Pisa - Checked-Out Items". Follow the steps below to clear these files:

1. Click the search magnifying icon in the top left area of the screen.
2. Search for "Pisa Checked-Out Items".
3. Click on the corresponding label in the search results.
4. A page like below shows on the screen.
5. Click "Delete" for each line to clear.
6. Close the view by clicking the left arrow in the top left corner.
