Power BI Dashboards

Anyware Retail is equipped with a ready made Power BI dashboard.

Introduction

To simplify the availability of key performance indicators relevant for the business, Anyware Retail comes with a ready made Power BI dashboard. With the purpouse of showing the possibilities, the reports included are somewhat light weight but ready to be extended in a wide range.


Scenarios

The included reports focuses on the following areas:


AreaDescription
DashboardA revenue overview, including a mix of top customers, sales persons, geography and products.
ItemsProduct oriented analysis with drilldown to color and size.
CustomersAnalysis of known customers with the option to drilldown to purchased products.
ColorsColor analysis. Requires proper base color mapping to be efficient.
SeasonsAnalysis by season with drilldown to product level.
MarketsGeographical analysis with a possibility to drill town to product category.



Prerequisites

Anyware Retail comes with a ready made datasource for the Power BI dashboard. This datasource needs to be enabled and published in the "Web Services" page. This will also enable the datasource url endpoint, which is used in Power BI.




To enable the datasource follow the steps below:

  1. Start by search for "Web Services" in the search pane, and open up the view for web services.
  2. Click "New".
  3. Add the datasource "Query" with the number "70316101".
  4. Enter "ProductSalesDashboard" in the column for "Service Name".
  5. Done!

Notice the value in column "OData V4 Url". This will be required later in Power BI.
